In 2007 I moved to the Brainerd area from Bemidji. It took one summer to fall in love with the area I now call home. This area has everything that my family and I love to do. Whether it’s fishing on any area lake, skiing at Ski Gull, biking at Cuyuna, or golfing at any of the gems, this area has it all. My wife Shana and I got married in 2012, and our reception was at the Legacy (a beautiful venue); all our children were born at CRMC. My girls Anna and Emily go to Lake Region Christian School, and Ryan is at Little People Learning Center. I occasionally escape to South Dakota to bird hunt, but Hunts Point or LeBlanc’s Rice Creek is also right down the road… Nothing brings me more joy in my career than helping people accomplish their dream of home ownership. Whether someone is buying their first home, dream home, second home, or building, I want to help them achieve this goal. I feel blessed to live not only in an area where people want to vacation but also help others accomplish the dream of home ownership.

Having moved from Robbinsdale to Manhattan Beach in 1974, I have always considered Crosslake my home. Even after we moved back to the cities in 1978, I returned each summer to live and work in Crosslake. In 1988 I joined the Navy and spent the next four years training, flying, and traveling around the world. I have lived the last 18 years in Princeton, coming up as many weekends a year as possible with my wife Kathy and our son James. It became harder and harder to leave on Sundays, even spilling over to going early on Monday mornings. We decided to see about moving to Crosslake, and RiverWood was so accommodating in letting me move to the Crosslake Branch. We sold our home in Princeton and moved into our cozy cabin while we build our home in town. When not at work, I enjoy snowmobiling, snow tubing, ice fishing, flying, boating, pickleball, and just about anything outside.
